Ginepraio Organic Tuscan Dry Gin 700ml

Ginepraio was born from a collaboration between Levante Spirits and Distillerie Deta. ENZO is a winemaker who lives in the town of Vespa - PONTEDERA, near Pisa, and his family produces organic wine in Montepulciano.Not far from MONTEPULCIANO, we find the Val Tiberina, a place famous for the production of tobacco and, above all, the best GENEPRO in the world, the basic ingredient of gin. It is right here, in southern TUSCANY, that Ginepraio was born. Although Tuscany is one of the ITALIAN regions that needs no introduction, it is fascinating how, once again, its history manages to surprise us, knowing that the English have been buying juniper from the Tiber Valley for over 400 years. GINEPRAIO wants to unite these paths and tell this story, which makes Tuscany a brilliant blend of culture, art, experience, tradition and EMOTIONS. The label shows the year of distillation, to emphasize the refinement of the product, almost as if it were a vintage. The 6 months of'aging are not accidental: they are meant to recall the timing of the average period of navigation of British Navy Ships, a time when embarked gin was crammed inside containers (such as amphorae or barrels) and crammed close to gunpowder. The bottle of Ginepraio is reminiscent of a hospital drip, as in the past gin was used in the treatment of kidney and gastrointestinal diseases. "In christening it, we were inspired by the old adage "getting into a quagmire" (also given on the label with the vocabulary definition), an informal way of describing a complicated situation from which it is difficult to get out.
