Description

Born in 1849, it is one of the first Bourbon whiskies and a worthy son of the rebellious nature of the southern states. The production area is Kentucky, a US state renowned for its whiskies, and Rebel Yell was born in Bardstown, near the city of Louisville. It is located near the northern border with Indiana, on a bank of the Ohio River. A whiskey aged in 100 proof, virgin charred oak barrels, with no added colouring agents.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Amber colour. Nose characterised by hints of vanilla. Taste: caramel, honey, mint, vanilla, white pepper, toffee.

Vinification

The raw materials maize (68%), wheat (20%) and barley malt (12%) are selected and mixed with water. After the addition of yeast, the resulting liquid distils in a 'Vendome Copper' copper still until it reaches 80% alc./vol., then it is diluted with water
