Winery

The'Dario Princic winery is a gem set in the foothills of the mountains that mark the border with neighboring Slovenia, precisely we are in Oslavia . This delightful family-run winery was one of the initiators of orange wines in Italy. It has been farming biodynamically since 1988 when it sold its grapes to local producers. Then deciding to make a U-turn and start his own production, Dario founded his winery in 1993 , the year he bottled his first wines . All his whites undergo a long pellicular maceration , ferment in open vats and age in used Slovenian barrels resulting in super complex , intense , flavorful and deep wines. Dario Princic immediately becomes one of the points of reference in Collio for the production of very traditional white wines, macerated on the skins, setting himself in the oenological panorama of the territory as a very talented winemaker, a craftsman of wine. 7 hectares of vineyards, on hilly limestone and clay soils, from which he makes no more than 26,000 bottles a year. So a small production of high quality, characterized by a unique style like no other. The vines are raised organically, with copper and sulfur, without any use of synthetic chemicals, and favoring low yields per hectare. Wines of great territorial expressiveness often described as "moving."

Description

A Ribolla Gialla flagship of Dario Princic's Collio viticulture. A wine to be defined as a reflection of the grape, the vintage and the territory of Friuli. A ribolla with a deep soul , like the soil on which the grapes grow, they are complex wines that know how to defy time, and patiently reveal themselves in the glass, showing their spiritual side. Artisanal production philosophy, no added or minimal sulfites, indigenous yeasts, vegan friendly.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Amber color with orange hues. Persuasive olfactory spectrum with clear hints of toasted almond notes, oriental spices, apricot jam, herbaceous hints and a slight hydrocarbon sensation in the background. The sip is rich in sensations interwoven with a pleasantly savory senzasione and a delicate tannic perception.

Storage time:

4-5 years

Vinification

Spontaneous fermentation in open wooden vats, with 35 days of maceration on the skins. Unfiltered. Very little addition of sulfur dioxide
