The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.

Description
Exclusively Syrah grapes to celebrate the Cortonese territory through an enveloping and delicate wine. Its name is inspired by the God Achelo, depicted in one of the most important Etruscan works in the Museo dell'Accademia Etrusca di Cortona. It is a red wine produced by the La Braccesca - Antinori winery characterised by a typical spicy, elegant and persistent tone.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense purplish red colour. The nose expresses notes of ripe red fruit and spices such as black pepper and liquorice accompanied by pleasant floral sensations of violets. On the palate it is soft and stands out for its pleasant drinkability, characterised by silky tannins and good freshness. The finish is long and savoury, marked by an aftertaste of plum jam and notes of vanilla.

Vinification
Cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation for 10 days in steel, 70% malolactic fermentation in second and third passage barriques, 30% in steel
