In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.
Description
The classic San Michele Appiano line expresses very typical wines, vinified in the traditional way. Typicity, varietal, drinkability, these are their most important characteristics for wines that offer genuine and authentic pleasure with an excellent quality/price ratio. It was in 1982, in the cellars of San Michele Appiano, that chardonnay was vinified in purity for the first time in South Tyrol. Since then, it has experienced an unstoppable development that has led to dozens and dozens of labels and interpreters.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Straw yellow colour to the eye with bright greenish reflections. Fruity aromas of ripe apple, melon and banana emerge on the nose. The palate is fresh, juicy and persistent
