Nestled between Berlin and Hamburg in the small town of Wittenburg, the distillery is totally artisanal and sustainable. To create Elephant Gin its founders, Robin and Tessa Gerlach, were inspired by their adventurous experiences in Africa. Their strong belief is that the current generation has a responsibility to preserve African nature. That's why Elephant Gin contributes 15% of its earnings to the activities of the three foundations Big Life Foundation, Space For Elephants and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which work to protect the African elephant from extinction.
Description
Elephant London Dry is a premium craft gin that encapsulates the essence of Africa. The unique blend of 14 herbs and spices includes rare African ingredients and fresh apples that give a distinctive flavour profile to the gin. There are, for example, the citrus scents of Baobab, the unique Buchu plant, which is reminiscent of blackcurrants on the palate, and African mugwort, with its distinct floral aroma. Characterising the aromatic profile of the gin, however, are the apples, which are used in large quantities. Award-winning and limited production. Each bottle is custom-made, adorned with hand-written labels and features an embossed coat of arms. Each batch is named after great tuskers of the past and elephants that Elephant Gin's partner foundations help to protect.
Organoleptic characteristics:
