Mark is a winemaker and comes from California, Elvezia is from Friuli. They met in Sicily in 1997.
In 1998 Mark suggested that Elvezia visit Puglia to see the old Primitivo vineyards. According to studies at the University of Davis in California Primitivo and Californian Zinfandel are genetically identical.
The expanse of old alberello vines is an enchanting sight for anyone, let alone an American winemaker. We immediately felt a strong attraction to this region. It was to be a short holiday. We never left! Rcconta Elvezia, we produce excellent wines using only indigenous Apulian grapes. We propose a contemporary style with the utmost respect for the territory. The name A Mani , because they call themselves artisans. They take care of every detail from the vineyard to the bottle with the same passion that goes into truly handmade products.
Description
Imprint is a rosé made from 100% Susumaniello grapes. Embracing new oenological challenges has always been in Mark's DNA. And vinifying the Susumaniello grape in pink is certainly an intriguing challenge. It will engage all the senses, from sight to smell to taste.

On the nose it is an explosion of elegant aromas, of sweet and tart fruits at the same time, pomegranate, wild strawberries, with hints of wine and flowers
On the palate it is crisp, fresh, juicy, savoury with great balance.
