Antonio Argiolas founded the winery in the late 1930s. For decades he made it grow, and continued to be present even when he passed the baton to his sons. Today, his grandchildren, the third generation of the family, work here. The estates of the Argiolas winery are located in the southern part of the island. The Serdiana estates, in the Sibiola countryside, are the closest to the winery. They are home to some of the best known traditional Sardinian grape varieties. The Sisini estate stretches for about 50 hectares among the hills in the historical region of Trexenta. Here, the microclimate, soil and exposure are ideal for growing grapes for white wines such as Vermentino. The Sa Tanca estate covers some 80 hectares between the municipalities of Selegas and Guamaggiore. Red grapes are cultivated here. The Vigne Vecchie estate extends over about 40 hectares in the hills near the municipality of Selegas. This area is particularly suitable for the production of fine wines. The Is Solinas estate, on the other hand, extends over about 15 hectares along the coast on the Gulf of Palmas. The sandstones of these soils retain moisture at night, which thus naturally protects against drought and gives rise to lush vineyards with incredibly rich fruit.
