The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Every vintage, every soil, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for ever higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Maggiarino comes from the vineyards of the estate of the same name, one of the most vocated areas of La Braccesca. A well-balanced wine capable of enhancing the fragrant varietal character through the silky tannins typical of the Nobile di Montepulciano area, a historic Tuscan appellation.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Maggiarino has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, notes of violets, red fruit and vanilla compose a complex aromatic profile. The palate is soft, balanced, silky and supported by the excellent freshness typical of Sangiovese. Persistent and mineral on the finish.
Storage time:
8-15 years
Vinification
20 days of maceration in stainless steel vats, the wine was transferred to tonneaux, where malolactic fermentation took place
