The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of viticulture for more than six hundred years: ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.
For 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Each vintage, each soil, each idea is a new beginning, a new search for higher and higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "the ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
From the vineyards of Pèppoli estate is being produced a Chianti Classico made of Sangiovese grapes blended with complementary varieties, conceived to be appreciated in the full expression of the fruit. A wine capable of representing the Chianti Classico territory and its historical variety through its typical floral and fruity aromas.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Pèppoli 2019 shows a ruby red color. The nose is characterized by sweet notes of red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry and lychee, accompanied by floral hints of rose petals and spicy hints of sandalwood, rosemary and lavender. On the palate it is soft, with sweet and well disposed tannins which, together with a balanced freshness, make for a pleasant, lively and flavorful drink.
Destemming and gentle crushing in stainless steel tanks; alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature between 26 and 28 °C; malolactic fermentation for about 10 days
