The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Every vintage, every soil, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for ever higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
From the vineyards of the Pèppoli estate owned by the Antinori family, comes a Chianti Classico made from Sangiovese grapes blended with complementary varieties, conceived to be appreciated in the full expression of the fruit. A wine capable of representing the Chianti Classico territory and its historic variety through its typical floral and fruity aromas.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Pèppoli 2019 is ruby red in colour. The nose is characterised by sweet notes of red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry and lychee, accompanied by floral hints of rose petals and spicy hints of sandalwood, rosemary and lavender. On the palate it is soft, with sweet, well-disposed tannins that, together with a balanced freshness, make for a pleasant, lively and tasty drink.

Vinification
Destemming and gentle crushing in stainless steel; alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28 °C; malolactic fermentation for approximately 10 days
