Description
Ridge Vineyards“ 2019 Geyserville is one of California's iconic reds, particularly from the Alexander Valley (Sonoma) area. It is a ”field blend' dominated by Zinfandel, a wine made from several varieties grown together in the same vineyard. The 2019 vintage is considered excellent, prized for its balance, depth and remarkable ageing ability.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The wine is very expressive and complex, with aromas of ripe black fruit such as cherry, blackberry and plum, enriched by spicy notes of pepper, liquorice and cloves, balsamic hints and light mineral nuances. The palate is full and enveloping, with soft but well-structured tannins, good freshness and flavours of berries, spices and light smoky notes. The finish is long, persistent and mineral, with a harmonious structure that combines power and elegance.
