The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of viticulture for more than six hundred years: ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.
For 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Each vintage, each soil, each idea is a new beginning, a new search for higher and higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "the ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Sangiovese and other complementary varieties pay homage to a historic label and to a wine with a long tradition: Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva. With the inauguration of the Antinori winery in Chianti Classico, the family wished to reinterpret a Tuscan classic, with its unmistakable style and recognized quality, through a Riserva which is delicate and, at the same time, decisive and elegant.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 has a ruby red color. The nose expresses notes of plum and quince well in harmony with spicy hints of bay, cocoa and white pepper and balsamic sensations of eucalyptus and mint. The palate is lively, characterized by the soft entry and a savory and persistent finish, where all the aromas perceived on the nose return.
Storage time:
3-6 years old
Vinification
Destemmed grapes, gently crushed; transferred into stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Maceration lasted about 15 days
