Ganfranco Alessandria winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, one of the most renowned areas for the production of Barolo wines. The'winery owns 5.5 hectares and 1 hectare under lease between Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, at locality San Giovanni, which is located in the area of the great Cru of Monforte, with southeastern exposure, which allows to produce wines of great structure, with freshness and elegance and longevity.

Description

Barolo DOCG San Giovanni is an intense, robust, complex and enveloping wine. It is produced by the Gianfranco Alessandria winery located in the countryside of Monforte d'Alba, one of the most renowned areas for the production of Barolo wines.

Organoleptic characteristics: 

It has a deep ruby color tending to garnet. Persuasive bouquet, complex with fruity and spicy notes. In the mouth harmonious, structured with soft tannins. Very persistent finish.

Vinification 

In steel tanks. Temperature-controlled maceration in contact with the skins.
