The Ganfranco Alessandria winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, one of the most renowned areas for the production of Barolo wines. The winery owns 5.5 hectares and rents 1 hectare of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto at San Giovanni, which is located in the area of the great Cru of Monforte, with south-eastern exposure, which allows the production of wines with great structure, freshness and elegance and longevity.

Description

Barolo DOCG San Giovanni is an intense, robust, complex and enveloping wine. It is produced by the Gianfranco Alessandria winery in the countryside of Monforte d'Alba, one of the most renowned areas for the production of Barolo wines.

Organoleptic characteristics: 

It has an intense ruby colour tending towards garnet. Persuasive bouquet, complex with fruity and spicy notes. In the mouth, harmonious, structured with soft tannins. Very persistent finish.
