Nestled in the countryside surrounding Strongoli Marina in the province of Crotone, just a few steps from the sea, among vineyards and centuries-old olive groves and citrus trees, Roberto Ceraudo founded the winery in 1973, which today relies on the invaluable help of his children Giuseppe, Susy and Caterina. Thanks to them, Ceraudo's has become a much more articulated reality, where in addition to the production of quality wine, oil and citrus we find a renowned restaurant and a beautiful agritourism. The varieties grown are mostly indigenous: Greco Bianco, Mantonico, Pecorella, Magliocco and Gaglioppo. But we also find vines of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vineyard covers 20 hectares, which were already organically cultivated in the 1980s, eventually obtaining ICEA certification in 1991. The vines are grown without the use of chemicals and defended against pest attacks by the use of weather sheds and sexually attracting pheromone traps. Photovoltaic panels are also used to make the winery energy self-sufficient.
The wines of the Ceraudo winery are an authentic expression of the terroir; they are all very elegant wines distinguished by complexity, significant consistency and persistence of aromas. The exposure of the rows towards the sea, the texture of the soil and the microclimate have made it possible to obtain wines that are fresh and at the same time full of fragrance.
