Nestled in the countryside surrounding Strongoli Marina in the province of Crotone, just a few steps from the sea, among vineyards and centuries-old olive groves and citrus trees, in 1973 Roberto Ceraudo founded the winery, which today relies on the invaluable help of his children Giuseppe, Susy and Caterina. Thanks to them, Ceraudo's has become a much more articulated reality, where in addition to the production of quality wine, oil and citrus we find a renowned restaurant and a beautiful agritourism. The varieties grown are mostly indigenous: Greco Bianco, Mantonico, Pecorella, Magliocco and Gaglioppo. But we also find Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. The vineyard covers 20 hectares, which were cultivated organically as early as the 1980s, eventually obtaining ICEA certification in 1991. The vines are grown without the use of chemicals and defended against pest attacks by the use of weather sheds and sexually attracting pheromone traps. Photovoltaic panels are also used to make the winery energy self-sufficient. The wines of the Ceraudo winery are an authentic expression of the terroir; they are all very elegant and are distinguished by complexity, significant consistency and persistence of aromas. The exposure of the rows towards the sea, the texture of the soil and the microclimate have made it possible to obtain wines that are fresh and at the same time full of fragrance.

Description

Cantina ceraudo's "Dattilo" is a beautiful expression of pure Gaglioppo grapes. A wine that matures for more than a year in wood, animated by tertiary notes of evolution and at the same time balanced freshness.

Organoleptic characteristics: 

Garnet red color Nose: broad olfactory spectrum, with fruity effluvia of underbrush, blueberries and currants, intense spice of cloves and black pepper. This is followed by leather and licorice root. Taste:of great character and structure, fresh and velvety, long persistence

Storage time: 

6-7 years old

Vinification 

Natural vinification, temperature-controlled fermentation. aging in large wooden barrels. Hand harvested at night.
