The great history of Tenute Chiaromonte began in 1826, the year of the official recognition of the Primitivo grape. A small family-run business, knowledge handed down from generation to generation, a passion for the land that has never waned and is carried forward with pride and commitment.

1998. One winter evening, a buyer peeps at Nicola Chiaromonte's door interested in his Primitivo wine. That man would change his life. In the same year Nicola, the last descendant of the family, takes the reins of the winery with courage and perseverance and starts producing the wine that would have made him proud of his land and origins.

Today. Nicola Chiaromonte today, with the help of his friend and entrepreneur Paolo Montanaro, manages Tenute Chiaromonte which includes more than 60 hectares of vineyards and secular olive groves, all cultivated according to organic methods. Experimentation, curiosity and commitment have led Tenute Chiaromonte to win the biggest challenge of all: to promote in the world the Primitivo Doc Gioia del Colle and other autochthonous grapes, obtaining many awards.
