The great history of Tenute Chiaromonte began in 1826, the year of the official recognition of the Primitivo grape. A small family-run business, knowledge handed down from generation to generation, a passion for the land that has never waned and is carried forward with pride and commitment.
1998. One winter evening, a buyer peeped at the door of Nicola Chiaromonte, interested in his Primitivo wine. That man would change his life. In the same year Nicola, the last descendant of the family, took the reins of the company with courage and perseverance and began to produce the wine that would make him proud of his land and his origins.
Today. Nicola Chiaromonte today, with the help of his friend and entrepreneur Paolo Montanaro, manages Tenute Chiaromonte which includes over 60 hectares of vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, all cultivated according to organic methods. Experimentation, curiosity and commitment have led Tenute Chiaromonte to win the biggest challenge of all: to promote in the world the Primitivo Doc Gioia del Colle and other autochthonous grapes, obtaining numerous awards.
