Description
Amaro Importante Jefferson with a Mediterranean flavor was created from an ancient recipe devised in 1871 by Captain Jefferson, who survived shipwreck in the waters between Paola and Tropea and found refuge in the Old Customs Warehouse. This bitter was made from botanical herbs and spices. These are bergamot, bitter and sweet oranges, rosemary and oregano, the main botanicals grown in Calabria, which combined with other bittering herbs and spices make natural and unique The Jefferson.

Vinification
Distilleria selects and handpicks most of the botanicals used, including PGI lemons from Rocca Imperiale, sweet and bitter Bisignano oranges from the family garden, bergamots from Pellaro, oregano from Palombara and rosemary from Bisignano. Everything is processed separately, in a hydroalcoholic infusion respecting the raw material and seasonality, which is why more than 11 months are spent assembling Jefferson, never resorting to artificial flavors or coloring.
