Cellar

The winery owned by the Stupino family since 1964 is located in the castle of Neive, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, situated in the heart of the Langhe and surrounded by wonderful vineyards. 60 hectares of land, all located in the municipality of Neive. A family that has been rooted in viticulture for generations. Since 2012, Italo Stupino has activated a second technical cellar, also in Neive, in an ideal structure for the optimisation of the crushing, fermentation and bottle-holding processes at a controlled temperature. Finally, in 2016, 'La Casetta' of Castello di Neive opened its doors in the premises of the renovated 18th-century house in the castle garden. From the Castle now come the fantastic Barbaresco wines of Castello di Neive, soft, warm, with great structure. Among the estate's vineyards, special mention must go to Santo Stefano, a prime area in the grandiose Albesani vineyards, in theDOCG Barbaresco, a perfect area with wines of an extraordinary level already fifty years ago. The first Barbaresco cru, in fact, was the Barbaresco Santo Stefano Cru (the exact name of the label) from the 1964 vintage, a wine from the cellars of Castello di Neive. But the Stupino property does not stop there: it also owns a select piece of the Gallina vineyard, whose Barbaresco is of exemplary elegance, not to mention the Messoirano vineyard.
