Domenico Clerico was one of Italy's most important producers and one of the best interpreters of the Nebbiolo grape variety. He was one of the greatest innovators in the Italian wine world, working long and steadily, all focused on enhancing the qualities of Barolo with the philosophy and passion that have always guided him and that he has skilfully passed on to those who have picked up his baton. Domenico Clerico's winery has 21 hectares of vineyards, located in some of the best Barolo sub-zones of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba.
Description
Domenico Clerico's great Barolo Ciabot Mentin comes from the Chabot Mentin vineyard in the heart of the Ginestra Cru. It is a complex, elegant and aromatic wine with great longevity.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has an intense garnet red colour. The nose shows fruity and floral notes with hints of sweet spices and minerals. The palate is elegant, strong and persistent with a dense tannic texture.

Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation is accompanied by 30 days of maceration on the skins, fermenting spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts
