Description
ODDERO's Barolo comes from the historic Bricco Chiesa vineyard in the commune of La Morra, the winery's historic production nucleus, 'the home vineyard“. At the foot of the church of Santa Maria della Neve, which in the 1400s was referred to as Sancta Maria de Marcenasco, it is a beautiful sequence of regular rows of vines, facing south, from 210 to 290 m above sea level. The soil has a predominance of fine clays, with sands and calcium carbonate.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Brilliant garnet red colour, with warmer reflections with the passage of time. Unmistakable perfume, very pleasant, intense and ethereal, very persistent, at times spicy, with hints of truffle, liquorice, dried flowers. Dry flavour, with important and full tannins
Storage time:
over 10 years

Strict manual selection of grapes in the vineyard. Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel
stainless steel for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28-29° C take place separately for the three
vineyards, as does the malolactic fermentation.
