The Maison Krug is one of the most famous and important Champagne companies in the world. It was founded in Reims back in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a partner in the Jacquesson company. He was a non-conformist visionary animated by an ambitious awareness without half-measures. Joseph Krug understood that pleasure is the very essence of Champagne. His dream was to be able to offer the best Champagne in the world, year after year, regardless of weather variations. The special attention paid to the singularity of each vineyard, the respect for the peculiarities of each plot and its wine, and the creation of a vast library of reserve wines of various vintages allowed Joseph Krug to realise his dream.
Description
Champagne Krug Grande Cuvée Brut was born from the dream of Joseph Krug, who wanted to offer the best Champagne ever, regardless of climatic variations. Since 1843, the Maison Krug has honoured this mission with each new edition of Krug Grande Cuvée. It is a blend of more than 120 wines from over 10 different vintages. The richness of the scents and aromas obtained from this skilful blending would be impossible to express with the wines of a single vintage.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a golden colour, fine and lively bubbles, a real promise of pleasure. The nose has aromas of freshly bloomed flowers, ripe and dried fruit, marzipan, peppercorn bread and citrus fruits. Notes of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, fruit jelly, citrus, almonds, brioche and honey. In the mouth it is rich, structured and fresh.
