Pierre Ferraud & Fils, founded in 1882 and family-run for 5 generations, produces wines from the Beaujolais area. Based in Belleville-sur-Saône, in the heart of the Beaujolais appellation of controlled origin area, it is well known in France and is appreciated for the excellent typification of its wines, which are able to bring out the best in individual crus.
Description
Produced in Occitania, a sunny area in the South of France. A Chardonnay of great versatility and pleasantness, suitable for every occasion even in daily consumption, a refined white wine that reflects the abundance and variety of the South of France, with particular attention to the vast wine-growing area of Languedoc-Roussillon, known as Pays d'Oc. This region is distinguished for the production of high-quality varietal wines, capable of enhancing both the particular characteristics of the grape variety and the unique terroir of the area.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Straw yellow colour. The nose is elegant, with the richness of fruit such as apple and sweet melon aromas.
Hints of lime on the palate combine to offer a delicious wine with a creamy taste and a lingering aftertaste.
Storage time:
2-4 years
Vinification
The grapes were harvested at the optimal time of ripeness, then pressed, destemmed and left in contact with the skins for six hours. Alcoholic fermentation took place for three weeks at a controlled temperature of 14-16ºC.
