In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.

Description

The 'Fallwind' line is inspired by the wind that blows across the entire cultivation area of Cantina San Michele Appiano. It is the element that gives its wines extraordinary aromatic characteristics, freshness and great longevity. Thanks to its selection and low yields, Lagrein is the most representative native red wine of South Tyrol. In order to obtain Lagrein Riserva Fallwind in the vineyard, moraine and gravelly soils in the Bolzano basin are preferred. Ageing and resting in wood enhance the harmony, and the result is a complex red wine, which captivates with its robust structure and diversity of aromas.

Organoleptic characteristics:

The wine is purple in colour. intense aroma of cherry, blackberry and prune, liquorice and cocoa. The entry on the palate is powerful, characterised by expressive and full-bodied tannins with a finish of toasted almonds.
