Description
Flaccianello della Pieve di Fontodi is an iconic label among the great reds made from pure Sangiovese grapes in the Chianti area. It is made from the best Sangiovese grapes from Fontodi's finest vineyards, cultivated using natural methods and located in the Conca d'Oro of Panzano in Chianti. A wine for those in search of a superior taste experience capable of admirably combining intensity, complexity, elegance and persistence.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense ruby red. Opens with a broad nose with notes of ripe cherries, dried plums, herbaceous notes turning to earthy tones followed by spices and tobacco. Fresh and savoury on the palate, consistent with the broad olfactory spectrum, full, balanced and persistent.

Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in stainless steel tanks with fulling and thermal control for at least 3 weeks. Maturation in Troncais and Allier barriques for 24 months
