Winery
The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of viticulture for more than six hundred years: ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.
For 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Each vintage, each soil, each idea is a new beginning, a new search for higher and higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "the ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Il Bruciato was born in 2002, during one of the most difficult harvests of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, in order to tell and make known, according to a modern style, the unique terroir of Bolgheri. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes, carefully selected, come from vineyards located on soils with a wide geological variability capable of expressing a great complexity.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Bruciato 2021 shows the usual deep ruby red color. Notes of ripe small red fruits, sweet spices and tobacco stand out on the nose. The palate is well-structured, enveloping and with a pleasant fruity aftertaste that gives it pleasant drinkability and persistence
Storage time:
2-5 years old
Vinification
Destemming and gentle crushing in stainless steel tanks; fermentation and maceration took place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks for a period of about 10-15 days at a temperature of 28-30 °C; malolactic fermentation partly in barrique and partly in stainless steel tanks
