Karas is an Armenian winery founded by the Eurnekian family. The family fled from'Armenia and settled in Argentina, where a few years later they founded a'winery. After success in South America, the family decided to take Karas back to its roots by planting its second vineyard in Armenia under the eternal gaze of Mount Ararat.
Karas means 'amphora' in Armenian, a sacred clay wine-making vessel used here for 6000 years.
Description
Karas, meaning amphora in Armenian, is a deep red Armenian wine produced from the indigenous Areni and Khndoghni grapes. It is a deep and dense super Armenian that combines precious ancient traditions with the pleasure of modern taste.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has an intense ruby red colour. The nose has a bouquet of cherry, blueberry and pomegranate, spicy pepper and hints of eucalyptus. In the mouth it is dense, deep, elegant and very persistent.
