Sagrantino di Montefalco is the mainstay of Umbrian reds, and the historic Adanti winery gives us a robust yet elegant red with great complexity.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Dark ruby red colour. The olfactory impact is important, with blackberries and plums followed by suggestive notes of graphite, liquorice, juniper berries and aromatic herbs. Tannicity and freshness are well balanced with alcohol and sugar.
Careful selection of only Sagrantino grapes, which are delicately transported to the winery and softly pressed in order to obtain a must of outstanding quality. This is followed by the vinification phase in which the grape juice, in contact with its skins for 26-28 days, is transformed into wine through the alcoholic fermentation process
