Located in the Forlì hills in the Bidente Valley, between the Apennines and the Tuscan border, an area with excellent soil and climate characteristics for the production of high quality wines. The history of Poderi dal Nespoli is rooted in four generations of winemakers from Romagna, who have deeply believed in their territory and its fruits, enhancing their production through constant research and improvement. In 2010, the partnership between the Ravaioli family and the Mondodelvino group began. Poderi dal Nespoli wines are present on many international markets, thanks also to the innovative thrust of cutting-edge technology, introduced at all stages of grape processing and wine ageing, which has enabled an improvement in the quality profile while fully respecting the most authentic processes. The first generation started out by creating the Osteria "Da Tilio", which soon became one of the most popular destinations for Romagnoli in the area, serving what is known as "house wine". With the second generation comes the Podere Prugneto and the first production of Sangiovese from their own grapes and later the first two white wines based on Albana and Trebbiano. In the mid-1960s there was a decisive turning point, believing strongly that Sangiovese di Romagna was a grape variety from which to obtain high profile wines, and for this reason he decided to introduce two important innovations: reducing the production of grapes per hectare and using French barriques for ageing for the first time. Today, Poderi dal Nespoli wines are high quality wines, in whose spirit the dream of Alfeo Martini and that of the Ravaioli family meet: to bring great Romagna quality to international markets.
Description
This is one of the winery's new proposals, the result of the search for a different 'authentic quality' in tune with nature and its rhythms. An Orange Wine that combines ancient traditions and innovation. An ancient style that is also rooted in the wine-making traditions of the Bidente Valley is reborn with the new Bianco Macerato, an Orange Wine with an exotic perfume and complex on the palate. We recommend serving it chilled (not cold) so that it can reveal its variety of flavours and aromas. Made from 85 % Trebbiano and 15 % Pinot Bianco grapes, it is intense but also fresh and savoury.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Luminous and brilliant gold in colour, the nose expresses exotic, floral and herbaceous aromas, star anise, juniper, candied fruit, apricots and honey, clementine tangerine. The taste is enveloping, fresh and savoury, with hints of dried apricots. Long, weighty finish.
Storage time:
2-5 years
Vinification
completes the fermentation process in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and towards the end of fermentation, after racking and pressing, matures for approximately 3-6 months on noble lees
