The Abbona family produces high quality wines, continuing, year after year, the work begun by the Marquises of Barolo more than two centuries ago
There is a thread that binds people, vineyards, cellars and bottles: the knowledge and passion to produce wines that respect the unique characteristics of this wonderful territory with a very high wine vocation.
Anna and Ernesto Abbona, together with their children Valentina and Davide, are the faithful interpreters of the diversity of places, vineyards and vines.
They rigorously respect and preserve their typicality by vinifying grapes from their own vineyards and from vine growers selected over many years, favouring the location and cultivation capacity of the individual vineyards.
Description
Roero Arneis is a label with a youthful profile. It is made from the grapes of the same name from vineyards located on the steep hills of the Roero characterised by predominantly calcareous-siliceous soils, particularly rich in quartzose sands and fine clays mixed with thin, crumbly sandstone layers. On these soils, which are soft and permeable and provide an abundance of trace elements while at the same time ensuring an immediate expression of the bouquet, the Arneis vine finds ideal conditions for the expression of fresh and fragrant aromas.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The colour is pale straw yellow, sometimes with a pale antique gold hint. The aroma is fruity, with distinct hints of acacia flowers, rennet apple, peach and green hazelnut. The flavour is fresh, fragrant, delicately mineral.
Storage time:
2-6 years
Vinification
Fermentation in steel
