Canalicchio di Sopra was founded by Primo Pacenti in 1962. The company owns 60 hectares of land on the north-eastern slope of the Montalcino hillside, 19 of which are cultivated as vineyards, within a context rich in biodiversity, scenic beauty and UNESCO heritage since 2004. Canalicchio di Sopra is the story of a company that has traversed the history of Montalcino viticulture over the last 50 years, its growth and worldwide affirmation. Today the company is now in its third generation of passionate winegrowers, inextricably linked to Montalcino and its land.

Description

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020 is a great classic with an excellent structure that is the calling card of the wines from the Tuscan winery Canalicchio di Sopra. The 2020 is the freshest and most vibrant vintage of Sangiovese, the winery's primary grape variety. It is a wine of great 'gastronomy', capable of accompanying even the most complex food in a very versatile way.

Organoleptic characteristics:

A fresh and fruity wine. It expresses itself in all its vivacity, freshness and aromatic complexity with great balsamic impact. In the mouth, the wine stretches out in depth with sweetness offset by a good salinity.

Storage time:

5 years

Vinification

In steel vats with temperature-controlled fermentation, daily soft pumpovers.
