Cellar
The Pfitscher family has been producing wine since 1861 in Montagna, South Tyrol, in the Bassa Atesina, an area highly dedicated to wine production. On the Pfitscher estate, wine production is no walk in the park, the slopes in the steep vineyards are up to 100 per cent steep and the climatic conditions are sometimes very prohibitive, but this is to the advantage of the exceptional quality of the wines. Another distinctive aspect of the estate is its total care for the environment. The Pfitscher family's wine cellar is, in fact, the first cellar certified 'CasaClima Wine', a seal that assesses the environmental compatibility of the building, living comfort, energy and water consumption in the production of wines, from the choice of packaging to the impact of their transport. Currently, there are around seven hectares under vine managed by the winery on the territory of six different municipalities, where conditions could not be more varied, but always in perfect harmony with the different characters and extravagances of our unmistakable wines. The grapes used are those typical of the area: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, Muller Thurgau, Lagrein and Pinot Blanc.
