The quality of the raw material is the basis for the production of Olmeca Altos Tequila.
The Destilería Colonial de Jalisco in Los Altos is a major Tequila producer, producing excellent distillates made from the prized Weber Blue Agave variety grown in the highlands of Los Altos, in the famous Mexican region of Jalisco. It was born out of the collaboration between Henry Besant and Dre Masso, united by the desire to create a high-end Tequila that would win over the palates of the most discerning enthusiasts.
Description
Tequila blanco comes from the processing of the prized Weber Blue Agave variety. It is a younger, fresher version that expresses itself with typical vegetal aromas. A tequila of the finest quality.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Colourless crystal clear. The nose opens with fresh, fragrant aromas of freshly cut agave, herbaceous hints, citrus nuances and delicate hints of soft spices. The sip is smooth and flowing, pleasantly simple and straightforward, with a lingering finish reminiscent of faint smoky hints.
Storage time:
over 5 years
Vinification
After slow cooking and pressing of the agave, the juice is distilled twice in copper stills. It is immediately bottled to preserve the youthful fragrance
