The winery has been run with great success since 1978 by Gianfranco, who, through rigorous and daring viticultural choices, combined with careful oenological interpretation, has established a qualitative style of great personality, which has distinguished the Vie di Romans winery over the last twenty years.
Important milestones in this last historical journey have been: 1978 first bottling and first commercial label, 1982 start of a cycle of viticultural modernisation aimed at high quality, 1989 construction of the new cellar built on three floors, 1990 vinification of grapes separated according to cru of origin, 1992 commercial release of the '90 vintage and from this date onwards white wines will always be marketed two years after the harvest.
Description
The Vie di Romans Chardonnay is marked by an unmistakable personality: since 1978, the winery run by Gianfranco Gallo has, on the other hand, taken a decisive turn, making rigorous and sometimes daring viticultural choices, capable of affirming a quality style of the highest profile.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Colour: Luminous straw yellow, with golden reflections
Nose: Rich and complex, with fruity aromas of apricot and pineapple, with delicate hints of vanilla and fresh almonds
Taste: Full and rich, soft and savoury, elegant and well-structured, with good persistence and a harmonious finish
Storage time:
2-3 years
Vinification
cold pellicular maceration. This is followed by static decantation and fermentation for 20-25 days in steel containers.
