Castello Romitorio is a renowned Tuscan winery located on a hill complex at the foot of Mount Amiata, in Montalcino in the province of Siena. The owner of the winery, famous painter Sandro Chia, after having bought Castello Romitorio in 1984, dedicated many years to the restoration of the castle and to the planting of new vineyards on its lands, while building a modern and super technological winery, supported by the advice of one of the best enologists of Italy, Carlo Ferrini. After thirty years of work on the territory, today Castello Romitorio is an internationally recognized wine producer, a specialist of Sangiovese and Brunello di Montalcino.
