The Querciabella winery is located in Greve in Chianti, in the cradle of Chianti classico. It was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, a biodynamic and organic pioneer in Italy, an industrial entrepreneur and lifelong wine enthusiast who bought a single hectare of vineyard on a Tuscan hillside and set about creating an estate that would soon encompass the entire region. Today, Querciabella covers about 100 hectares and produces cult supertuscan wines such as BatĂ r and Camartina, which have won multiple awards from international critics. Querciabella wines are present in 54 countries around the world and represent one of the undisputed pinnacles of Italian oenology.
