Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2018 Querciabella
Sandstone rocks and sands obtained from the flaking of marlstone
The Querciabella winery is located in Greve in Chianti, in the cradle of Chianti classico. It was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, a biodynamic and organic pioneer in Italy, an industrial entrepreneur and lifelong wine enthusiast who bought a single hectare of vineyard on a Tuscan hillside and set about creating an estate that would soon encompass the entire region. Today, Querciabella covers about 100 hectares and produces cult supertuscan wines such as Batàr and Camartina, which have won multiple awards from international critics. Querciabella wines are present in 54 countries around the world and represent one of the undisputed pinnacles of Italian oenology.
Querciabella Chianti Classico Riserva is a perfect blend of the estate's best Sangiovese parcels from vineyards in Greve, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti. Bottled only and exclusively in the best vintages, Querciabella Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is a great, award-winning Tuscan wine that is surprisingly intense and inviting.
It has a bright ruby red color. Its bouquet is rich with aromas of violets, ripe cherries, earth, oak and a touch of incense.
In the mouth it is full-bodied, powerful and full, enriched by notes of rosemary. Well-integrated tannins, great structure and excellent freshness. Finale is very long.
