Brigaldara is the viticultural treasure chest that encompasses the different souls of Valpolicella. One thousand years of history, one hundred and twenty hectares of property of which forty-seven are planted with vines, distributed in three different areas of the province of Verona: Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena and Valpolicella Orientale. A historic family, the Cesari, who have owned it since 1928, committed to the enhancement of a rich and heterogeneous estate's viticultural heritage. A team of young oenologists and agronomists dedicated to the study and personalization of each intervention in the vineyard, to enhance the varietal expression of the terroirs and micro-terroirs that make up the different souls of the wines produced here. In the winery's vineyards, the attention to safeguarding the environment and reducing the impact of cultivation is extreme: targeted fertilization and only with manure, chemical interventions linked exclusively to the presence of the moth, use of only copper and sulfur as phytopharmaceuticals, and a continuous search for sustainable agriculture.
Description
L’Amarone Case Vecie prende il nome dall’omonimo vigneto situato nel comune di Grezzana, in Valpantena. Uno straordinario appezzamento dove altitudine ed esposizione permettono alle uve di maturare in modo lento e costante, anche nelle annate più difficili. Un’epoca di vendemmia tardiva permette di mettere a riposo le uve in un periodo dell’anno più freddo e di condurre un appassimento lento e prolungato nel tempo, che sviluppa aromi caratteristici. Un vino pensato per esaltare le naturali caratteristiche di un clima d’altitudine: un vero Amarone delle “Vigne Alte”.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Colore rubino intenso. Al naso emrgono sentori molto maturi, quasi tostati, con profumi di mirtillo rosso essiccato, ciliegie, fichi macerati nello sciroppo di zucchero ed erbe aromatiche. Segue una nota più fresca e soave, con aromi puliti e precisi di cannella, pepe e tabacco. Il finale è persistente con una componente tannica giovane e corposa, ma allo stesso tempo levigata.

Vinification
Selezione delle uve in vigneto che vengono appassite in cassetta riposte in fruttaio. La vinificazione in rosso assicura il contatto delle bucce per l'intero processo fermentativo e l'estrazione del colore è favorita da due rimontaggi quotidiani e un delestage a metà fermentazione.
