The Bleeding Heart Rum Co., founded by Stephen Carroll of the UK, has launched for the first time a premium rum produced in the Philippines, one of the largest markets for rum production and consumption. Don Papa Rum (launched in 2012) is sold in award-winning packaging, French 70 cl glass bottle, Portuguese cork, Italian-printed label, brand image developed by New York-based studio Stranger & Stranger.
Description
Rum Don Papa Rum Cherry Cask is the most classic example of the art of distillation brought to perfection. The rum is produced in small batches, first aged in American ex-bourbon oak casks before being finished in four different types of sherry casks: Palo Cortado, Fino, Cream and Pedro Ximenez. The final blend offers a deliciously dry, almost nutty nose with a rich, fruity flavour and a wonderfully smooth finish.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a light amber colour with hints of red. The nose is fruity and nutty. In the mouth it is rich and fruity with a dry, velvety texture.
