Description
Eminente, the new Cuban rum launched in 2020, originates from what the locals call 'Isla del Cocodrilo', due to its shape similar to that of the large reptile that inhabits it.
The glass bottle, rigorously recycled, indeed resembles the skin of a caiman, a clear reference to Cuba. Eminente was born from the skilful collaboration between Moët Hennessy and Cuba Ron. The recipe was created by César MartÃ, the island's youngest Maestro Ronero. A rich, full-bodied rum inspired by 19th century Cuban sugar cane brandy ("aguardiente") and its complexity. Building on these refined aguardientes, Eminente sets new standards with Reserva, made with 70% aged spirit: the highest percentage of all Cuban rums.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense, lumoinous amber colour with hints of copper
The nose is rich and deep, releasing hints of sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon, toffee, roasted notes of coffee, almonds and cocoa.
Full-bodied on the sip and incredibly deep, the palate is rich with vanilla and peaty hints, coffee and raspadura, the taste of unrefined sugar cane.

Vinification
A blend of aged aguardientes (approximately 70%), one of the highest percentages on the island, considering that it is usually 8%, and light rums made from more than a hundred varieties of sugar cane. The aguardiente gives complexity and depth of flavour, while the light rum adds vitality, thanks to the strength of the alcohol. aged in ex-Whisky white oak barrels for 7 years.
