Morellino represents the beginning of Joe Bastianich's Tuscan adventure. It is a wine that differs from other Morellino di Scansano due to the use in the blend of particular varieties such as Alicante and Syrah, which are well suited to the Maremma terroir even with more original and less cultivated vines. The name I Perazzi comes from the pear trees that grow on the estate's land, and which are also romantically represented on the front of the label.
