Catena Zapata was founded in 1902, in Argentina. Nicola Catena, the winery's founder, was a pioneer in the resurrection of Malbec and the discovery of terroirs of extreme altitudes in the foothills of the Andes in Mendoza. In 1902 he planted his first Malbec vineyard in Mendoza. Today, the'winery is in its fourth generation and produces the great wines that come from six historic vineyards-Angélica, La Pirámide, Nicasia, Domingo, Adrianna and Angélica Sur.
Description
Multiple award-winning Malbec Argentino from the famous Argentine winery Catena Zapata is made exclusively from the grapes of old vines from two of the house's historic vineyards, Angélica and Nicasia. This is a great red wine that impresses with its intensity, richness, balance and finesse. Beautiful label of this wine pays homage to the history of the variety in France and its rise in Argentina.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a deep ruby-red color. The nose presents a bouquet of red fruit, pomegranate, spicy and roasted notes. In the mouth it is powerful, warm and velvety with a strong persistence
