Cantina Santa Barbara's “Mossone” is a red wine made mainly from Merlot grapes, created as a tribute to the founder Stefano Antonucci, affectionately known as “Mossi”. After ageing for twelve months in barriques, this wine expresses itself with a broad and deep bouquet, characterised by intense notes of morello cherry and blackberry, accompanied by hints of liquorice, mushrooms, undergrowth and delicate vegetal nuances. On the palate it is full-bodied and decisive, with elegant and well-integrated tannins, supported by a pleasant freshness and a long savoury trail that prolongs the memory.
