Di Majo Norante is a'winery that has been producing its wines exclusively from the 123 hectares of the ancient feud of the Marquis Norante di Santa Cristina in Campomarino since the 19th century. The oenological philosophy of the Di Majo Norante estate respects the traditional approach to vine cultivation and wine production, in an attempt to preserve all the characteristics of Mediterranean grape varieties. Masseria di Majo Norante is located north of the Gargano, in contrada Ramitelli, in the countryside of Campomarino, where the clayey, partly sandy soil and the summer breeze combine to create a particularly favourable habitat. Alessio di Majo Norante, a stubborn and countercultural winemaker, has sacrificed productivity and standardisation of taste to the constant pursuit of quality and typicality, in the conviction that southern vines are better suited to the soil and climatic conditions of the Molise countryside. The experimentation with these vines and the good results achieved have encouraged the winery to persevere in the courageous choice that allows it to produce great wines that respond perfectly to the complexity of contemporary tastes.

Description

It is produced exclusively from Tintilia 100% grapes, harvested during the first ten days of October. Tintilia is a scarcely widespread and little cultivated grape variety in Italy. However, this does not apply to Molise, the only region in which a specific doc has been dedicated to Tintilia wine. Di Majo Norante honours this ancient indigenous Molise grape variety by vinifying it in purity.
