The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of viticulture for more than six hundred years: ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.
For 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Each vintage, each soil, each idea is a new beginning, a new search for higher and higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "the ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Villa Antinori is a historic white, introduced in 1931 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, capable of representing the Tuscan terroir through the combination of traditional grapes such as Trebbiano and non, such as Chardonnay to give the wine additional structure.
The historic Villa Antinori Bianco wine has been chosen as the Official Supplier of the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome, the world's most important golf competition.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The nose is fine and elegant, with fruity notes of apple, pear, pineapple, floral notes of wild flowers, then veering to delicate spicy hints of candied fruit. In the mouth it is agile, streamlined and drinkable, fresh at times sapid-mineral and with a finish of good persistence.
Storage time:
0-2 years old
Vinification
Grapes were destemmed and gently crushed; the must was cooled to a temperature of 10° C (50° F) in order to favor its natural clarification. After 48 hours it was transferred in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature not higher than 16° C (61° F).
