In the beautiful valley of Roseau lies the St Lucia distillery, born in the 1950s from the union of two distilleries,
one in Dennery, linked to the Barnard family's plantation, and one in Roseau owned by the Geest family. It is in the latter's location that the long tradition of St. Lucia begins, the birth of which also marks the corporate union of the families of the two original distilleries.
The Geests remained partners until 1992 when the Barnards took over the shares and then brought in Trinidad's Angostura Ltd. in 1997.
At the helm of the St Lucia Distillers Group of Companies since 2005 is Clico with Laurie Barnard, third generation Rum maker.
