The Tua Rita winery is a true excellence in the Tuscany region. Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio began their journey into the wine world with 2 hectares of vineyards in 1984. From the original 2 hectares of vineyard, cultivated from the very beginning with the utmost rigor and which placed Tua Rita among the first happy Italian experiences built on the "vin de garage" model, in the space of about ten years they grew to 9, then to 20, at the beginning of the new millennium, to arrive at the current 30 hectares of vineyard. Expanded and completely overhauled between 2000 and 2002 to support a high-profile production, which now stands at 220,000 bottles, Tua Rita's winery obeys operational requirements first and foremost, in the great Italian tradition of the artisanal winery. Few and unobtrusive, moreover, are the oenological interventions. Annual production fluctuates around 250-280 thousand bottles. The winery produces both red and white wines, all with an extremely elegant and personalized style.
