Winery
Borgogno, the most historical winery of Barolo, was founded in 1761 by Bartolomeo Borgogno. In 2008 the Farinetti family bought Borgogno vowing to safeguard the traditions of this historical winery.
Still today the underground cellars represent a rare historical memory of Langa, and wines are produced according to tradition: long spontaneous fermentations without the use of selected yeasts in cement tanks, and long aging strictly in large Slavonian oak casks. Vineyards are cultivated in Barolo, Madonna di Como and Colli Tortonesi in full respect of the land. Today Borgogno continues to be the expression of a territory, tradition and history, however always with an attentive eye to the future.
